The latest match was fished by thirteen anglers on one of the wettest days this year. It tipped it down but that didn’t deter Dave Lawton, who has been struggling a bit recently, from getting his act together and fishing the maggot feeder, (secret method Dave ?) to find 16lbs 10ozs from peg 80 on the far bank. Mick Barker at peg 70, a peg that produced in last week’s match, was second with 15lbs 14.5ozs of skimmers taken with the feeder with pellets which was enough to beat Ray Hamshaw’s, (last week’s winner) 9lbs 15.5ozs into third. Harry Booth at peg 78 also fished the feeder with pellets to take fourth place with 8lbs 14ozs. Trevor Parkin at the next peg 79 was fifth, (what’s up Trevor no worms?), with 5lbs 2ozs and Stuart Senior sixth with 4lbs 9ozs.
