After fears that the fish in the Bridge pond had disappeared, they have at last begun to respond. Club Chairman Martin Read fished the water last Saturday evening and took an excellent net of tench, bream, crucian carp, roach and rudd and one solitary carp with pellets and the pole.

Most of the carp it seems were sunbathing in the shallow water on the other bank, out of reach of the pole.
