For years anglers and visitors have found it difficult to find our ponds at Ravenfield. Even locals often do not know where they are. A few years ago we applied to the planners to have sign put in the village at the end of Garden Lane. The application was turned down.

Now following the unfortunate death of Walt. Shaw, who was taken seriously ill during a match at the Ponds, and because an ambulance was unable to find him, the Council have had a change of heart, and erected a sign, which is shown below, looking down the hill.
