Stuart Senior has had a season to end all seasons, and judging by the results of the first few Winter League matches, it looks certain to continue. Stuart has had a series of wins, on the canal, at Ravenfield, and at Baker’s this summer and has just won two of the first three Winter League matches at the ponds with more than 17lbs on each occasion, a truly enviable record, and he’s done it with no more than a few pinkies, a few pellets and a pinch of groundbait. When it comes to maximum return for minimum outlay Stuart could write a book.

His results confirmed him a the Club’s Angler of the Year and he can be seen below being presented with the shield by Harry Booth and with a typical catch below.
