The introduction of 400 small carp to the Bridge Pond is proving to be a huge success as the fish put on weight and encourage other species to feed. Just ounces when they were introduced those small carp are now being caught at anywhere between 8ozs and 1.5lbs and are proving extremely popular with those who fish this pond.

Once again bigger baits like pellets, sweet corn or meat are the most successful baits although maggots and casters do work for mixed bags of carp and silver fish including bream, roach, rudd and crucians…..oh and the odd eel!

This pond will be one to watch over the next 12 months if this current season is anything to go by.
