This year’s Tuesday evening matches started last week with a bang and with some excellent weights. Trevor Parkin, pictured below, caught steadily throughout the match using the pole with worm and casters to collect a 33lbs winning net.
Close behind in second place was Mick Barry, below, who caught most of his 29lbs 5ozs net in two bursts, but struggled at other times.
But Trevor and Mick weren’t the only ones among fish. Harry Booth had 26lbs 5ozs for third, Andy Pounder 22lbs 12ozs for fourth and Derek Jackson, 19lbs 3ozs of predominantly small fish for fifth.
A really good start, and remember, these matches are only 4hrs.
