One of angling’s mysteries is what happens to all the big perch for 10 months of the year. It seems it’s only at this time that they make an appearance. Last year fish to 3lbs 9ozs were caught with one much bigger found dead in the margins, now they are being caught again. John Hartley weighed one 2lbs 1oz in a match and Mark Glossop has had another of the same size pleasure fishing, both from the Gt. Pond.
