Regrettably the Club has had to ban a carp angler for leaving his rods unnattended, which is not only a breach of Club rules but also Environment Agency byelaws which state that rods must not be fished more than 3m apart. In short an angler should never be more than 3m from his rods at any time or for any reason.

We are therefore asking everyone, carp or silver fish anglers, not to leave baited rods in the water unattended, for your own but even more importantly, for the fishes’ benefit.

On a more light hearted note, can you spot the perch? It swam around happily in the shade of its’ bigger cousin for ages one hot day in the summer.
